So you just bought a bright shiny piece of recycled war remnant brass, fashioned into something decidedly more marvelous. Congratulations! Some of our items are laminated to prevent oxidising. Some are not. We ship everything in a ziplock bag to prevent the brass from oxidising with the air during warehousing and transit. For our clutches, now that you are using your bag the brass will dull slightly, by a few degrees. You can leave it in the ziplock bag when not in use to prevent dulling if you like the shine. You can polish your brass with regular silver polish (e.g. Brasso) or even toothpaste. A solution of baking soda in water works too.
Bear in mind that the brass used in our clasps, minaudieres and cuffs could be wholly made from one bomb casing, or a blend of brass from various casings and bullets found in Cambodian soil. These were either American or Chinese (remember the Khmer were sponsored by the Chinese). We can never be sure what the blending, aging, and sheer history of this stuff will turn out like over time. If you experience strong discolouring we want pictures! And if it makes you unhappy we will swap you another one. One thing is definite: you sure have a conversation piece.
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it and in the original packaging.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable) Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
